The three situations we meet most often in Bursa
Water arriving from the slope. In settlements near the foot of Uludağ water reaches the building from one direction, from above. An intercepting drainage line on the uphill side is more effective than perimeter drainage in these buildings.
Water table in the plain districts. On the plain the picture reverses, water now arrives from below rather than from the slope. This is why two different approaches are needed within the same province.
Large roofs on industrial buildings. Factory and warehouse buildings in the region have large roof areas. Leaks in these buildings mostly begin not on the open surface but at service penetrations and rooflights.
What we look at during the survey
Whether the building sits on the slope or the plain, the direction water arrives from, the possibility of an intercepting line on the uphill side, the water table level in the plain districts, and on industrial buildings the number of roof detail points and the condition of the existing membrane.
